Summer Nights at Hughes Los Angeles with Frank Fairfield
On Friday May 15, 7pm – 10pm, come join us at our Downtown Los Angeles Arts District Showroom for treasure hunting vintage furniture, luxury consignment & designer estate finds, enjoy a glass of wine or beer from Angel City Brewery on us, and take in an acoustic performance by Frank Fairfield and Zac Sokolow. Frank and Zac will fill the Showroom with the down-home sounds of the American folk repertoire. Check out Frank's sound here and read more about him in this great NPR write up.
Music critic Greil Marcus on Frank Fairfield:
A young Californian who sings and plays as someone who’s crawled out of the Virginia mountains carrying familiar songs that in his hands sound forgotten: broken lines, a dissonant drone, the fiddle or the banjo all percussion, every rising moment louder than the one before it.
This is sure to be a special night, so bring a friend for luxury consignment treasure hunting, a drink on us, and an intimate acoustic performance!
